A Birthday Message is all I Need.. or a real tiara will do!

Growing up I've never enjoyed my birthdays from being center of attention, as a child sure I got the occasional silly gift, a bicycle, trampoline, mobiles and hundreds of barbies which made me the happiest girl ever but each time it came to making a wish by blowing out the candles on my birthday cake, things never came true! I never got that good singing voice, my sister never played barbies with me for a day and I never actually fell in love with Prince Harry. I did get a tiara though! Don't judge okay? It's not pretty being judgy!

Tiara Megan got me years ago for my birthday!

Over the years I've been told I'm hard to buy for, that I'm so indecisive and moneys better to give me but when truth comes to shove I'd rather just have that attention I hated so much as a child.  I dislike people going out of their way to get me a gift, or giving me money when they're struggling enough as it is.

I have everything I want and need which is why I hope this year for my 24th I get to spend some time alone with my fiance to relax and watch a movie, to go for a walk with my mum and enjoy our giggling chats along the way and also to spend time with my sister as Megan loves my birthday. (I'm gonna force her to watch Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson.) Gotta have some influence and sway on my birthday!

All anyone needs on their birthday is a card to let someone know you're thinking of them. Christmas however? That's a whole different scenario! Christmas pressies all the way with ribbons, bows, glitter and sparkle! Won't be long tis the season starts...

What do you think of my post? Do you think people go overboard when they can't really afford it?  Do you personally look for more than a card? Let me know in the comments below.

Ethan's Diary - First Visit To The Vets

9 Aug 2017

This morning I woke with a start, it was Ethan's first vet visit and I was more nervous than he was regarding his trip. Ethan was brave, unscared and honestly unfazed by the whole situation of getting his first vaccinations and letting the vet examine him.

Currently exhausted from all the attention and unwanted handling he is fast alseep after demanding cuddles and sprawled out all over the sofa after abit of playtime.

When I began researching vets I knew there were a few local ones which were well known about and I chose to opt for a new one to me which I've heard fantastic reviews about, from my experience with them I have to agree. One visit and I'm confident that Ethan is going to strive as he gets older and know the support and guidance from the vets is always there.

What do you think of Ethan? Do you have any pets? Let me know in the comments below.

Some Things Are Worth Waiting For

7 Aug 2017

A concept I truly accepted recently is that some things really are worth waiting for.

I'm impatient to say the least and it was not easy one bit being kept in the dark regarding 'this gift' when everyone else knew!

Readers meet Ethan! Ethan meet readers!
